Our specialised equipment is used to diagnose any dry, irritated eye issues, and we discuss what treatments may be beneficial. We shall apply a gentle warmth to the eyes, cleanse them with specialised sensitive-free products, and lubricate them at the appropriate tear film layer.

What is Dry Eye?
With every blink, our eyes release a sophisticated layer of tears that keeps the eye moist, ensures clear vision, and provides protection. Dry eye is a multifaceted condition where this tear layer fails to adequately maintain moisture. This can result from decreased tear production or increased evaporation of the tears with one of the main causes Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). MGD can only be diagnosed with specialised equipment called Meibography.

The Oculus Keratograph is a non-invasive imaging system that allows us to accurately diagnose dry eye disease and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). It provides detailed images of the tear film and meibomian glands, helping us identify the root cause of dry eye symptoms. This comfortable, touch-free technology enables personalized treatment planning and helps us monitor improvement over time for lasting relief.
Blephasteam
These specialised steam goggles are designed to heat your eyelids to an optimal temperature for gland expression and massage. The Blephasteam is particularly effective for dry eye patients with dysfunctional glands, and is one of the top tools available for treating these glands.
Eye-Light IPL
EYE-LIGHT IPL employs a blend of photobiostimulation and pulsed light to address meibomian gland dysfunction and dry eye. The procedure is entirely painless, with many patients finding it quite relaxing.
This treatment integrates a unique and patented combination of OPE (Optimised Power Energy), IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), and LLLT (Low-Level Light Therapy) to effectively treat the glands and eyelids.
